Manager, Public Service Delivery

We are hiring for a Manager based in our New York City location to lead client-facing projects spanning topics like health and human services, clean energy, affordable housing, digital equity and more.

Managers are responsible for shaping the vision for our client projects and bringing them to life. This includes leading teams across workstreams, building strong client relationships, and driving creative, analytical problem solving to arrive at the best possible answers for our program design and transformation projects.

Specifically, the Manager will:

  • Shape and lead creative problem solving on public service delivery topics, including using classic management consulting and strategy skills, as well as by synthesizing research, analysis and other information across disparate sources
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis, and develop thoughtful perspectives on policy trends, best practices, and promising funding streams
  • Create materials, including in Excel and PowerPoint, to convey findings
  • Support strong project delivery by managing a team to support ad hoc needs
  • Contribute to the growth of a small, impact-driven team in whatever ways you’re most interested in, across our work!

Strong preference for candidates with demonstrated interest in improving public or social service delivery, management consulting experience, and experience in a dynamic, growth-oriented organization. Excitement about meeting new people and building great teams will be important to this role!

This is a full-time, salaried role based in New York City with full health benefits, 20 days paid time off + company holidays and life and disability insurance. Total compensation for the role is $150k – $220k, commensurate with experience.

  • Passion for our work! You’re committed to advancing the quality and effectiveness of public service delivery in healthcare, clean energy, affordable housing, digital equity, or related fields
  • 2+ years management consulting experience
  • Graduate degree in business, law, public policy, or a related field
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic policy concepts in at least one public service domain
  • Experience managing team members and projects end-to-end in a client services context
  • Ability to effectively communicate insights, verbally and in written materials that are clear and digestible
  • Experience managing your own time and balancing competing priorities
  • Interest and experience in thorough research, encompassing literature review, landscape analysis, and identifying trends
